2023 San Antonio Book Festival

San Antonio’s Downtown Library

TCU Press is looking forward to the San Antonio Book Festival, scheduled for April 15. The free annual event at San Antonio’s Downtown Library (600 Soledad St.) and neighboring Southwest School of Art celebrates national and local authors and their contributions to the culture of literacy, ideas, and imagination.

Approximately 75 authors from Texas and beyond whose books are published within a year of the festival are presented, and all will be featured in a panel or solo session.

TCU Press’ marketing coordinator has nominated titles and authors whose categories include fiction, narrative nonfiction, food-related titles, poetry, children’s literature, and art and architecture. Updates on selections will be posted on our website.

The San Antonio Book Festival was launched in 2012 as a program of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation (SAPLF) with the Texas Book Festival, the Central Library, and the Southwest School of Art as founding partners. The event generates more than $1 million to the city’s economy.

In addition to author presentations, book sales, and signings, SABF features family activities such as children’s theater performances, a technology area, interactive play and art stations, and a sampling of San Antonio’s famous food trucks.
